[Q] Is the FastFullHD Video Capture also flawed by software? topic


I'm currently sporting a badly purple tinting M7 and was hoping to upgrade to the M9. However, from multiple trips to T-Mobile and Costco to play with one, I've noticed that the FastFullHD capture on the M8 looks better than the one on the M9. Of course this is judging from the default gallery player on the respective phones' screens.

I didn't bother to check the software versions on the M8 (on Lollipop), but the M9 was on T-Mobile software v. 1.32.531.33. I know that the ViperOneM9 is currently at 1.32.401.17.

Any thoughts/opinions on the FastFullHD performance for this phone and possible suggestions for tweaking like hamdir's image capture tweaks?
