Root methods for S4A w/ Kernel past June 3? topic

The towlroot does not work for my S4 Active. I click "make it ra1n" and it says my phone isn't supported. I'm assuming it is because mine has a Kernel date of Aug 28 2014, and towelroot says it must be before June 3 2014. Am I not able to root my phone? I've been googling around for about an hour, sifting through threads on here and haven't been able to find anything.

Running 4.4.2 kitkat.
