I'm still in love with Skyrocket, but some developers and mantainers stop making new buils because feels like there are just a few Skyrocket users out there.
I think it's just because some of us are waiting for a more stable Lollipop release and better compatibility of xposed. But believe me, Skyrocket only needs a little push, and this is the time; I found a repartition thread for Hercules and same method works for Skyrocket, it means less space limitations and more juice to pull out of Skyrocket.
What do you guys think?

Hi,I"m at my wits end at this stage.I've rooted my phone and it says tampered and unlocked.But when I try to flash CM11 in TWRP I alway"s get a failed message.I noticed during flashing it states no MD 5 file found! I've tried TWRP 2.7.1 and 2.8.5.0 versions. When I use TWRP using the external SD card I get the failed msg. I've even tried flashing by USB OTG but it fails to even start flashing by this method :(. Any help much appreciated.

With the official update to 5.1 coming "Soon", is there a potential for the Cyanogenmod team to incorporate the necessary components to active the Tap-to-Pay feature for Google Wallet? My understanding was there are proprietary softwares not available once we left Kitkat for Lollipop ahead of Motorola. I freely admit my understanding of rom-building is as weak as it comes, but my imaginary setup has us able to take the required file from a Moto X running the official 5.1 and drop it into a CM12(.1) build for maximum profit.
So, am I indulging in pipe dreams out in left field?

Well I was disappointed Sunday by the available surround capturing mode in my Edge when I found out today in the camera settings that you can actually download many additional modes, included the previous surround mode I was used to set in my S4 LTE+!
I think that many of us didn't know it either or? :D

Hey, I am using Moto E2 3G variant. I haven't touched anything on my phone and it's running on stock ROM Android 5.0.2. Just a few minutes back, I updated the Subway Surfers game, but the update failed and my phone shut down the next moment. Now, when I am rebooted the phone, I am seeing the error "unfortunately the process android.process.acore has stopped" along with "unfortunately the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped". I can't do anything on my phone, It is just the black screen. I've rebooted my phone many times but of no avail. So can anyone suggest me any way of resolving the issue without going for factory reset option.

I am not able to flash system.img , i get the cannot load system.img error in cmd prompt. All other .img flash fine
i flashed twrp and tried repair , did not help.
i have also fastboot erased cache , system , bootloader but it didnt help in clearing the system and flashing the stock one on top
Also i can flash a custom rom in TWRP and boot but the storage is then stuck at around 12 GB.
Any pointers guys ?

Currently everyone in South Germany who are with the Kabel BW internet provider can't access xda for the last few days.
It does work with other providers or via mobile internet, but desktop connections time out.
It does work when using a proxy.
It's not possible to restart the router to get a new IP as the provider uses fix IPs, so we're out of luck.

After the recent OTA update for stock CM, my battery life is abysmal. Went from charging every other to charging my phone throughout the day to keep it going. To combat this I want to root my phone to either (1) install a new ROM or (2) install a new kernel. I haven't really been following the ROM scene for the OPO though. I was hoping people had some thoughts on which kernel provides excellent battery life? I was thinking of going with franco or uber. Thoughts?
In regards to ROMs I was thinking of PA5, MIUI6, or SlimLP. Any better suggestions here? Really just interested in something professional and flash it and go sort of ROM.

I read somewhere saying that Samsung is rolling out Lollipop to all LTE models in the USA. My question is, will this update roll out work like it does for phones....meaning will this update have to go to the carrier first and then to the users? I hate to lose root, but I'm really hoping the update will improve performance. I bought the note pro the day it hit the stores and I am in bad need of better performance. This is the most lagging device I have ever owned it, but I still love it tho.

Hi was just wondering why my sd card doesn't read on my z3.running Lollipop 5.0.2,it tells me when I put the memory card in that it needs to be mounted but I can't mount it as it doesn't read,anyone know a workaround for this,any help would be appreciated, thanks

I was running cm12 on my nexus 5 and I had unlocked the boot loader and was asking xposed framework aplha version .
But then I decided to go back to stock android and I flashed the flashed the factory image of android 5.1 build number lmy47I . I wiped the data and even relocked the boot loader and now my phone is running smoothly and is on stock android.

i tryed the miuipro rom (its Awfull)
and now i cant flash a normal rom back
in twrp i have have unable to mount /data /system / cache
fomat dont work
i fear i crashed my partions
also i cannot connect to the pc (i think a i have messed somthig up before wile flashing a new recovery ??)

My note 4 unfortunately died on me last Friday. Yesterday I received a insurance replacement. I believe it was pretty smooth in stock but once I got home and flashed the rom I had on the other Note 4, lag fest. I have flashed different roms 7 times already since last night. I am currently getting ready to flash stock lollipop. Problem is, when you swipe or scroll through screens or menus, even when typing, the lag has become unbearable. Is it possible I'm wasting my time and this refurb is defective? Can't believe I'm going to have to go back to sprint and go through this again,assuming they see it my way.
Is there something I'm not checking?

This is a fix for the audio fx bug in cm 12/12.1 because of which audio FX works only with stock music app that comes with CyanogenMod and not other apps
After flashing this audio FX will work with all apps
The audio FX apk is latest one that comes with latest nightly

I wanted to buy Redme Note but I can not decide between 3G and 4G, I thought it is best to ask those who have experienced using this phone. For me supporting 4g is not very important, but I would like to have the best performance and battery life and I very much like my phone to be supported by developers . here are some questions I think is important:
1) which of these 2 (3g or 4g version) is better supported with custom roms or kernels? (considering one is mediatek and another is snapdragon)
2) is it true that this phone can not have a custom kernel because kernel sources are not being released ?
3) I saw antutu benchmarks for these 2 phones, MTK cpu should be higher than MSM one(which is normal considering the fact that one is 8core), but RAM score on the 3g was about 3K and on 4g 1.5K !!! is this a problem with first miui build or with 4g variant ?
4) won't the MTK variant, drain battery faster in daily use or gets hotter ?
5) considering all aspect which do you prefer ?

Hi all... I recently purchased 128GB samsung micro sd card & transferred all my images & folders containing important data to 128GB. After transfer I am not able to see any of my images nor the folders i transferred. I even did not kept the backup copy of the same.

I have the Verizon Z2 tablet Model SGP561 firmware 23.0.1.E.0.208 Android 4.4.4.
I am trying to root, install custom recovery, and install ROM's. From what I'm reading this is not possible. In fact, there is no easy solution to obtain root. From what I read, I will have to downgrade the Firmware to Android 4.4.2 and then upgrade using a patch to 4.4.4.
The thing is all of the information is pretty old(last year). Has there been any progress made, or am I stuck? I would love to Root this and run any ROM, even if it is a stock ROM.
Any help/advise would be greatly appreciated!

I am experiencing a weird bug, If I stream a avi file the MXplayer can decode it with HW decoder, however if I download the file and play it locally, only the SW decoder works.
This is the same on all my devices (Xiaomi mi3, galaxy S1, allwinner a10).

Hello everyone! I have bought a old Samsung Galaxy S from my friend for recently, and I have rooted it, but I can't install NetSpofer. Is there any way I can maybe upgrade it to KitKat so that way I can run it? By the way, I can also maybe try SideLoading it or maybe putting in a sd card when I get home. Should I try putting the .apk file on the sd card, then opening it? I can't use the Unknown Sources option because it is not there as it is because of AT&T. Since updating to lollipop I have had occasional rapid battery drains. The phone would drain at a rate of 4 hours from full to nothing and the phone would get very hot. Looking at the battery stats the only thing odd I could see is the phone was awake the entire time. My first thought was an app that might be keeping it awake but I was unable to find one responsible. I finally figured it out yesterday.
I use a belt pouch that has a magnet. The bottom of the phone is near this magnet when it is in the pouch. Under KitKat this would cause the phone to bring up the S-view screen, but it would quickly go back off so it was not problem. The phone would properly sleep while in the belt pouch. What now happens under lollipop is the magnet causes both the phone to stay awake and sometimes the screen to come on dim while in the pouch. With the phone not in the pouch the battery consumption has gone back to normal of 60-70% remaining at the end of the day.
So apparently the lollipop has changed the response to magnets near the base of the phone.

First off, I've been reading all around here, and this doesn't seem like an uncommon problem.
I'm trying to edit my build.prop file to be able to unlock APN access on my Verizon phone as I need to use it for T-Mobile.
My problem is that nothing in system files that I edit, including build.prop, will stick. I have used Root Explorer Pro, buildprop editor, adb cmd promps. My phone is rooted through weaksauce 2.
Once I edit file, I save it, set chmod to 644 and restart. The build.prop isn't being editted back to the default, it's just being replaced completely-- it will be right back to the default build.prop file that was originally there, with the same original create date and everything.
I've tried everything I know, and I absolutely cannot get anything to stay editted because no matter what I do, the phone will just replace my phones as soon as I boot.
My phone does not have a different ROM installed, and it is still S-ON, but I've tried to stay away from getting that far into it for something that I thought should be pretty simple to fix. Any advice?
I'm trying to edit my build.prop file to be able to unlock APN access on my Verizon phone as I need to use it for T-Mobile.
My problem is that nothing in system files that I edit, including build.prop, will stick. I have used Root Explorer Pro, buildprop editor, adb cmd promps. My phone is rooted through weaksauce 2.
Once I edit file, I save it, set chmod to 644 and restart. The build.prop isn't being editted back to the default, it's just being replaced completely-- it will be right back to the default build.prop file that was originally there, with the same original create date and everything.

Hi does anyone have instructions on the best solution for a mobile web place holder code for a 320x50 ad tag. So that on IOS or Android a standard iab 320x50 ad tag will rest at the bottom of the screen when accessed via mobile phone? Hi all. I have had my Note Pro 12.2 (wifi version) for about a week now and am planning on rooting/wipe/flash etc this weekend. I'm not sure which ROM would be the best for me, as I don't see much about audio performance mentioned in the custom ROM threads.
I want a ROM that will allow me to do a lot of customization and changing around of settings, but pretty much like stock when I first load it in terms of appearance. I want to be able to get rid of unwanted bloatware (or have it already removed) but i still want to use the pen window and 4-app multi window (but with ability to add any program to the list). Want to add sound on/off setting to the camera (not just replace the sound file with a silent dummy file but actually add the switch to the menu).
I use both the s-pen and a bluetooth mouse frequently and looks like cynogen 12 might not be a good choice because of this, but everyone is raving about the speed and lack of lags. Would be great to get a bit of a performance increase with a new ROM.
But my main concern is audio latency. I'm using Caustic, ntrack, audio evolution etc. Supposedly latency is supposed to be improved again in 5.1 kernel? Not sure if the samsung pro audio sdk is included in any of these ROMs (didn't see anything about that). I'm hoping to try out soundcamp but haven't yet searched for a version of it ported to the note pro.
So are there any good ROMs available which keep the stock functions of the s-pen, bluetooth mouse, multi window, etc, but on a newer kernel with better audio performance? I also use a few of the samsung bundled apps, the hancome office, remote pc, etc. but I want to be able to remove all the bloatware stuff like businessweek, and a lot of the google stuff like music, games, etc.

- Do a nandroid backup or app backup (your choice)
- Download and copy rom and gapps on phone
- Go into recovery
- Do all wipe (also format system)
- Choice install zip from sdcard
- Select the rom and flash it
- Select, after, gapps and flash it
- Install super su (optional, the rom is pre-rooted, based on cm12)
- Reboot
- Enjoy!

I rooted my phone months ago.. it was successful. But recently i got a error message when i restarted my phone.. "encryption unsuccessful".

Is there a way to make my phone ALWAYS connect to lte whenever there is ANY signal for it without losing calling and text? I know that if you go into *#*#4636#*#* you can force the phone to stay lte, but if I do that I loose calling and texting capabilities.
My problem is my building has lte signal thought, but my phone thinks 3g is better in the first floor so it connects to it... Forcing it to lte with *#*#4636#*#* works for data, but calls and text don't go through at all.

I don't know if you have encountered similar problems to mine, but I wanted to start using Google Play Music on my PC and android device and when I downloaded Music Manager to transfer all my library and playlists from iTunes to Google, everything was going smoothly and it seemed only 4 songs were not going to be able to upload and all of a sudden it stuck about 80 songs to the end - I already closed it and reopen it, uninstall it, etc. - Nothing showing on troubleshoot - and then it came to me - let's look at the log files (if any), fortunately I found some log files and apart froom those 4 songs not uploading I found about 80 lines of text (no song files there) but in each line it said : Serverid Missing - I am assuming those 80 missing songs are the 80 lines found in the log file.
Anyone that can help me figure this out?

I do a lot of Kayaking on large lakes and prefer to know if the weather is about to change.
I have my weather set to update every hour. It updates every morning when I charge via USB and once during the day at random times. The default on my phone is AccuWeather.
Is there any phone app that actually updates the weather on the watch or is this a problem regardless of the app?
I like the fact I can ask for the weather via S-Voice while not having to stop what I'm doing but since it's not accurate unless I click to refresh, it's pretty useless.

Has anybody bought a tempered glass screen protector for the Galaxy Tab S SM-T700 that doesn't have a nick or notch at top? All the tempered glass protectors I could find appear to be for the LTE version (SM-T705) which has the cut out for the ear piece. This looks simply ugly on the SM-T700, which doesn't have any front facing speakers.

Does anyone have a issue with the YouTube app on the Nexus player where you randomly get a error that says connection lost, check your internet connection?
I seem to get this mostly when I start up the app, but have also seen it when a video ends, a video can stop playing and give this message. I have even seen it when swapping subscriptions.
Oddly enough I have seen a similar issue on my phone sometimes I open the app, especially if I have been casting, and get a retry button.
Pressing ok and retrying allows me to use the app, none of the other apps seem to suffer this. The nexus player is hardwired so not a WiFi issue.
I did have a browse through the forum and Google and couldn't find any similar posts but I can't be the only one having this issue?

Hi Friends today i will be showing you my upcoming theme which is still in progress and it is my humble request to Moderators to not to delete or lock this thread since i am working on "Black Metallic Theme" for our Beloved Note 4 N910G and since this is for users so i want to make it in their required style and so users should know how their theme will look like and how they want it to be and hence i may need some suggestions or Guidance and for that i will be using this thread. I hope you all know Black Color is King or Battery Saver for our Samsung Amoled Screens, also it is very comfortable for eyes during night to operate our Note 4.
Apart from Battey Saving the main purpose to make Black theme is that I personally hate White Backgrounds.
Since it is in early stage it will be for N910g Version, I will be making it totally black version but if other users would like to have variation in my theme then might be possible i will consider and will try to Pulish other variants also.

Totally Black Metallic Theme with Stock Icons (for Stock Lovers):D:D:D

Is there any good guy willing to back up his Desire 620g ROM and upload it?
I don't need the whole rom if it's to big, the boot.img file and scatter.txt are enough (maybe even the preloader)

My previous phone was a Galaxy S4 & i loved the default equaliser, as it went well with my headphones with the bass on full, after using DSP and these other modifications the bass is not the same & it crackles and sounds like its gonna blow up... Question is, would it be possible to port the S4 Equaliser over, or would it require more work as the HTC One has Dolby sound installed on the phone.

Noticed a little while ago that some emails I was waiting for were sitting in Inbox (the app) all along. I've done some troubleshooting (reboot, clear cache, clear data, bouncing the notification settings in the app, bouncing sync).
In the end I uninstalled inbox and enabled gmail and went through all the above with that but no difference. Test emails, as well as genuine ones are all turning up immediately but I get no notification on the notification bar, led, no sound/vibrate etc.
Any ideas what I can try next? I did finally get the latest sony update a couple of days ago and I can't be certain this has worked properly since then (Inbox, which I quite like, is set to not notify me for the majority of emails i get.

anybody know a good android map app that would allow me to add pins like google maps does and also make notes for each pin? I would like to use it for marking down good fishing spots I find and recommended by friends. it would be great if it was geared toward fishing but any general map app will do fine. it's really stupid google maps is missing this feature. seems like it would be common sense to include it.

anyone noticed massive battery drain since the update, thats the number 2 battery usage app, it was never that high up he list, and i have 45% from a full charge and screen on is 45 mins, it used to be about 4 hours per charge

Hey guys, I managed to smash my screen with a drill.. They were both on my wall when I was working on my motorbike and I nudged the drill and it ripped over and smashed the side of my phone casing a spiderweb crack. Gutted.
The touch input now doesn't work. i'm having to use an OTG cable, usb hub and a usb mouse and keyboard to do anything.
I don't really have the spare money to send it in tyo be fixed so I was thinking of replacing it myself, now, I don't know if I should buy just the front glass or the glass/screen assembly?
I know I'll loose the waterproof cababilities but It'll be a cheap fix for now.
Anyone have any ideas?
