[Q] Sourcing from China (with Android) topic

I want to source an Android smart watch from China for a project am working on. I want to change the menu interface it comes with and replace with a custom interface specific for my purpose (means no custom control to intended audience).

Thoughts Needed

1. Does anyone here have a similar experience?


2. Are they good at customizing ROMs and interfaces according to requirements?


3. If not, how easy is it to hire somebody to build a custom ROM with custom interface (for say MTK6572)?


4. Any recommended suppliers you know?

3. Touch screen


4. Mic/Speaker


5. Charging points on the back side (no micro-usb slot on the side)


6. Shortlisted AK-S5 or AK-S7

Phase 2 MUST HAVE Minimum Requirements

1. All from Phase 1


2. IP67 or IP68


3. Magnetic based charger point on the backside


4. Heart rate sensor at the backside
