Call issues with Android 5.0 topic

I have noticed since the upgrade, that some time I get no single or data connection when I'm in a store... Plus on most calls I'm told that my voice is choppy.. Has anyone noticed this? and did you have the same issue with 4.4.4? I called verizon and they are puzzled, as they have plenty of towers in my immediate area.. If this is a known issue, I want to set my phone back to 4.4.4
