I want to turn my old note 2 into a tablet for my 4 year old daughter. So it doesn't need a sim card, phone abilities, etc. Just WiFi, maybe YouTube, snote app for drawing, Netflix, games, etc.
Can anyone give me insight into the best way to do this? My main goals are battery life and stability. Currently the phone is rooted, running kitkat of some sort. Already gets stellar battery life. Better than my note 4 if I'm honest. I believe I screwed something up and now it won't charge unless phone is on. So an Odin back to stock prior to further modification is probably best.
I've never done this before. Willing to disable whatever I don't need that won't render phone useless. Just as well to work with stock rom as base? Kernel suggestions?
It's a Canadian model.
